Had lots of fun at the PINK bridal show @ the Nashville Convention center! Talked to lots of fall brides ( Sept and Oct). Lots of September - I was very surprised! I love being able to talk the girls/ladies. Met a few friends that I hope will be booking with us. Lots of girls were into the lush, luxury look which I don't blame them! Feathers, bling, and white seemed to be popular for this year. Check out our awesome booth! We have ANOTHER show this coming weekend at Opryland Hotel! Can't wait!

ten little(random)things
1) Visited Gracie this week and loved watching her jump, spin, sing and chatter away - she is growing up so fast!
2) Matt had his last day of work today - back to school on Monday (last semester EVER!!! yay!!!). He has never not worked since we have dated so it will be interesting.
3) Don't know if any of your all's husbands/boyfriends/manfriends watch Son's of Guns on Discovery, but I just CANNOT stand it! Matt watches it and loves it and I hate it! I don't know what it is - it just irks me to the core!
4) Wednesday is the best TV night, I love hump day because of Suburgatory, Modern Family, and Happy Endings. Anyone else agree?
5) I am really disappointed in the lack of Valentine decorations out there - being that this is my first Valentine's Day as Mrs. Valentine I was planning on going all out. I did pick up some stuff at Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Tree, but really thought there would be more out there. Guess I will be shopping online next year.
6) Running out of space in this little apartment of ours. I just love shopping for home decor and holiday decorations and the place is filling up fast! EEK!
7) Made roasted veggies last night for the first time and LOVED them, had some for leftovers (shocking, yes! usually I HATE leftovers) for lunch today and loved them even more!
8) Matt unplugged the night light in the bedroom (yes, I said night light) while I was gone and thought he could get it past me - wrong. Night light in bedroom and bathroom are still in check!
9) I have two pair of cowboy (girl) boots that I LOVE and now Matt is the proud owner of some brand spankin new cowboy boots! yeehaw!
10) We have a couple weddings to deliver tomorrow and a couple on Sunday. Lots of feathers in the shop today - which I loved and even a few white peonies! Sigh!
well that is all for my FIRST of ten little things - happy Friday and cheers to a GREAT weekend!

pillow makeover!
Hey there! Hope everyone is having a great week - I got to spend some time with my mom, Gracie girl (my niece) and my sister in law Bet (Bethany) in Louisville, which was much needed. I had not seen Gracie since Christmas and was itching to give hugs, cuddle, read, and play with my little (growing up) Gracie!
Last Friday one of my dear college friends/sorority sister was in town with her boyfriend from Florida so we went out on the town with them and some other girls from school/sorority. Katie and I lived in the sorority house together, as well as the "blue" house together. Lots of fun times, life chats, tears and hilarity with that girl. Even though we are miles away I can still call her anytime and pick up where we left off - she is a talker and so am I so we have lovely phone chats! Matt and her boyfriend, Garen, became friends over sports, hunting, man stuff etc. so that was nice for Matt to have a guy to chat with!
I have been doing some crafting, updating, decorating in our little apartment - I will be posting more about our Valentine decor especially my Valentine banner and mantlescape!
Pillow makeover below...
I had a major Hobby Lobby trip last week and went a little crazy, but I found some great stuff! I found these inexpensive pillow covers that I thought I would jazz up myself. They were in the same aisle as the curtains, tassels, and fringe.
I had leftover little gems from another craft (found in the scrap booking area) that I used in the middle of the pillow to add a little bling (I love me some bling!)
I used a multi colored boa with neutral tones that I have also incorporated on a lamp in our living room and my new curtains (pictures coming soon).
Then I just whipped out my handy dandy glue gun and went to town around the edges. DISCLAIMER: this pillow is clearly just for looks (Matt hates that, but we have others that you can actually lay on and snuggle with).
I used one of our pillows in the cover that fit JUST right (had to stuff it in there a little), but you can buy the stuffing if you don't have any extra pillows around.
I had a little feather fluff leftover so instead of just putting the bling in the middle by itself I decided to add a little feather in with the bling! Tada, a new fancy pillow for about 10 bucks! She looks so pretty in our living room and I am enjoying her quite a bit!
Hope you enjoyed! Cheers to it almost being the weekend!

winter mantelscape
Wanted to share my Winter/New Year mantel with you all - I love having my mantel decorated at all times. The mantel is in our living room where we spend the majority of our time so I like to have something pretty to look at! The floral bouquet in the middle is from the PINK bridal show at the Nashville Convention Center this past weekend. (will post bridal show pics next) The bouquet is one that I made and is basically made up of some of my favorite elements: peonies, spray roses, bling, feathers and crystal garland! It is starting to die now so I have replaced it with some Valentine decor. Hope to update the mantel into a full on Valentine theme soon, after all this is my FIRST Valentine's Day as Mrs. Valentine! Cheers and happy hump day!

Christmas in Louisville with an Angel
I ALSO decorated my parent's house. I had a week off before Christmas so I went up to Louisville to assist (do everything) with my mom's decorating. Christmas has always been so magical to me so I wanted to make sure it stayed that way and was magical for my niece, Gracie. Gracie girl was quite little last year and did not find too much interest in Christmas, but this year she was pretty interested. It was so fun watching her open her gifts and be the center of attention as always! She brings so much joy and happiness to our family! Christmas morning we woke up early around 6am to open gifts with Matt's family in Cinci. We ate sausage casserole and then we were off to Louisville in our PJs still! We arrived in Louisville around 10 and Gracie girl was waiting for us at the back door! I knew I could count on her to have her jammies on still. She was READY! We ate some sausage balls (more sausage) and fruit and began the unwrapping of gifts!
After the gifts were done my mom and I began to prep for Christmas night open house. We have family, friends, old neighbors, in laws etc. Lots of fun and drinks and music and more music followed by rapping and dancing and MORE drinking! It is always an interesting night and you never know how it is going to go. Usually late into the evening/early morning. Matt's parents and little sister (Haley) came this year and I was so happy to have parts of both of my families there. My brother's in laws are there as well so it is like one big happy (crazy) family! That is a recap and here are the decor pics from my parent's house. Enjoy!
